Pistoni Srl also offers the polyethylene terephthalate withdrawal service, a waste product produced by industrial chain. After we retire the stuff, the material is treated, first manually with a cleaning process, and subsequently submitted to a checking with a metal detector that allow to prevent the insertion of other waste materials into granulator, the device we use to fabricate granules. Complete the described steps, we transfer the polyethylene terephthalate into specific “Big Bag” and prepare, in this way, for the sale.
WHAT IS POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE (PET)?
The Polyethylene terephthalate is a polyester family polymer and it is a special thermoplastic resin, also suitable for food contact. This polymer may exist in amorphous form, and it will be transparent, or semi crystalline, and it will be white or opaque. It has used in many fields because it has electric properties, chemical resistance, performance related to high temperature, self-extinguishing, quick printing.
It is also called PET, it was invented in 1941, but just in 1973, thanks to the chemical patent Nathaniel Wyeth, the production of bottles derived from this polymer began. Recently, its use has grown up. This wide diffusion is particularly due to some of its properties which make it really suitable for continuous production processes that allow it to be recycled.
