Among the services offered by Pistoni Srl, there is also one that concerning the withdrawal of High Density Polyethylene, waste output of industrial production. After withdrawal, the polyethylene is subjected to a cleaning process, a manual work, that allow to prepare it for box storage, previous working phase to the metal detector control and to the grinding with granulator. Through these phases, the PE is setted in ours “Big Bag” and, thus, prepared for the sale.

WHAT IS HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE (HDPE)?
The High Density Polyethylene, is just a thermoplastic polymer which is obtained through a particular oil processing. To produce one kilogram, it is necessary a little bit less of double petroleum. However, the discarded material, is often recycled and reused in subsequent productions.

The HDPE has little ties between atoms and, therefore, the intermolecular forces and the tensile strength, typical of low density polyethylene, have higher values. Unlike the Low Density Polyethylene, it is also harder and more opaque, and it comes to bear upper temperatures.
