If you run a textile company and need to dispose of or recycle your production waste safely and promptly, Pistoni Srl has the right service for you: it takes care of the collection and recycling of low-density polyethylene. The company, based in Castel Goffredo in the province of Mantua, is located in the heart of one of the most renowned textile processing districts in Italy, but also collaborates with foreign partners. Polyethylene is used in factories and textile companies for various processes, but also produces various non-toxic waste, which must be disposed of in compliance with current regulations.
Why recycle polyethylene waste?
Numerous plastic production waste is generated in textile manufacturing processes; these residues are classified as "non-hazardous" but, in any case, they are highly polluting. It is therefore mandatory by law to dispose of them properly. One of the most sustainable and effective ways is recycling. Low density polyethylene (LDPE) is a thermoplastic polymer derived from a particular oil processing process. It is a relatively easy material to recycle, and therefore more environmentally friendly than other plastic materials. It is a material widely used in many different sectors including, obviously, the textile sector.
Providing timely withdrawal and an adequate LDPE recycling process makes it possible to obtain excellent quality secondary raw materials, ideal for being used again in numerous other applications, thus establishing a virtuous circle of sustainable economy.
How does the recycling process occur?
Pistoni Srl is a company specialized in the collection and recycling of low-density polyethylene. It can in fact count on a highly qualified team, prepared to manage the treatment of non-hazardous waste in the best way. The staff aims to offer a recovery and recycling service for all production waste, in full compliance with current regulations on worker safety and material handling. In particular the process:
- It starts from the collection of LDPE waste, which takes place directly at the company's headquarters by the Pistoni team;
- After a precise and careful manual cleaning process, the material is selected and divided according to the type;
- The selected LDPE is then stored in special boxes and then ground with a granulator. Before this step is also passed to the metal detector to make sure that there are no unwanted metal residues;
- Low density polyethylene thus becomes a secondary raw material. The next phase is the storage in "Big Bags" ready for sale.
